A Win, A Loss, A Thing Of Cost - On Time This Week!

Today, I'm linking up with Digital: Divide and Conquer and Third Grade Galore to tell about a win, a loss, and a thing of cost.

Win:  I cleaned 8 windows in my house.  I still have A LOT left to clean, but these were the most difficult ones because they don't tilt in so I have to climb the step ladder, and there are all these bushes in front of the windows.  Luckily, I am still in one piece - a definite win for me.

Loss:  Last night we ate at On the Border which is a Mexican restaurant.  I ate way too many chips and salsa, and the chips were so salty, crunchy and delicious that I couldn't eat enough.  Before I took my shower last night, the scale said I had gained about 2 pounds.  It's pretty ironic that a weight gain is such a big loss.

Cost:  My daughter got an I-phone for Christmas, and now my 2 sons have I-phones as well.  My husband says that the data plan is at its maximum cost - $90 per month.  That means we can get I-phones, too, and it won't cost anything other than the cost of the phones.  My husband is waiting until the new I-phone 6 comes out, but I'm finally adjusted to my new flip phone that I got last fall.  It was very traumatizing when my Razor phone died.  The pressure is tremendous to get one of these I-phones.  My 20 year old son was so jealous when he realized his 13 year old cousin had an I-phone 4.  You can imagine what he said:  "I'm the only one who doesn't have an I-phone......"

Maybe I'm missing something - is an I-phone all it's cracked up to be?  It seems like a new I-phone comes out every couple of months - does that mean the "old" ones are obsolete?

  1. Thanks for stopping by! I have an IPhone and I love it! It's so easy for me to use. Be careful cleaning those windows. It sounds like they are a lot of work and will surely help burn off the calories from the chips!

  2. Thanks for linking up. I've got an iphone too (I've got a the 4 which is perfect for me) They do so much and speed up everything from a connectivitiy standpoint. Texting, internet, email...just to be able to have it in certain situations is great. Plus you can download you kindle books too it too. So many things, so I've got to stop.

We've got vaulted ceilings at my house with windows at the top...not fun. So congrats on getting it almost completed.

  3. I had to giggle about your phone situation. My hubby still has an old flip phone... I don't know how he uses it! Drives me crazy. :-)

And the chips and salsa...well, I can totally relate to that!
