Wednesday News on Friday!

Today, I'm linking up with Digital: Divide and Conquer and Third Grade Galore to tell about a win, a loss, and a thing of cost.

A Win!  Yesterday I had a very small, family 4th of July barbecued lunch with my husband, 3 children and my father.  I made steak, chicken, hamburgers, sausage and macaroni salad.  For dessert, we had  angel food cake, Cool Whip, strawberries and blueberries, all put together to look like a flag.

A Loss.  Last night my children had some friends over late in the afternoon -  "not a party - just some friends over."  This morning, my husband noted that they had left the mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, and assorted trash in the yard overnight.  When we asked my older son, Derek, about this, he said it was too dark for him and his friends to clean up.  Hmmmm.

A Thing of Cost. I would have to say replacing my above-ground pool was a thing of cost, but we all LOVE our new pool, especially during this heat wave.  We live just north of Boston, but the weather is similar to August weather in Florida.  This is perfect pool and air-conditioning weather.

  1. Thanks for linking up with us! It's seems that you had a really nice get together with the family. Too bad the kids didn't clean up. I guess they need to go to the store and buy some new condiments! Have a great weekend.

  2. I second what Jeanette says: Thanks for linking up with us.
And we do appreciate that you joined in even though we're Chicago Blackhawks fans too. What a series.

A pool sounds pretty nice right about now. We haven't had too many hot days, but I've got a feeling that it will be coming.

    thanks for stopping by
