Wow! Five For Friday Already!

Even Friday is flying by today!  That means that I better link up with Doodlebugs for:

I won an amazing giveaway for sponsored by Deb  from Crafting Connections:

Thanks to all the bloggers who donated these prizes to raise funds to help Jen Bengel whose blog is Out of this World Literacy.  Jen's family is adopting a son from Uganda, and the money raised helps to defray all the expenses.

I've only just begun to check out all my prizes - I'm so excited to tell you all about them!

My 21 year old son, Andrew, still enjoys getting a butterfly garden every year.  His butterflies hatched this week, and I managed to get a picture of one right after it came out of its chrysalis:

I bought my first pair of Dansko shoes at an amazing price at TJ Maxx:

The best part was the price:  $34.99!  I see so many teachers at school wearing these shoes, and I've always wanted to try them out.

My son, Derek, played his trumpet in a concert tonight.  He's wearing the khaki shorts:

I signed up for the Work Wear Challenge:

http://getyourprettyon.com/work-wear-challenge-2014/

One of the items is an oatmeal blazer - it's in the picture above.  I never wear blazers so I'm going to try to find a cardigan that looks like a blazer.  Has anyone ever seen something like that?  Do you ever wear a blazer to school?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. The butterfly garden is so cool! We just found out that we cannot wear flip flop type sandals, including Yellow Box, so I'm going to check out our TJ Maxx for Dansko shoes! Have a great weekend!

    1. I totally meant "meet up" not "link up"! That's what I get for trying to do things after the baby goes to sleep. :)
