Currently ~ Just July & the Start of Summer!

Happy Summer!  Thanks for checking out my news as I link up with Anne in Residence and
 The Queen in Between for:

Celebrating

I love celebrating July 4th by having a barbecue; going in my pool; and watching the Wakefield July 4th parade (the largest parade in Massachusetts for this holiday); and the fireworks.

Visiting

With my broken fifth metatarsal in my right foot which comes with no driving until August 2nd, my visiting depends on who is willing to chauffeur me around.  Going anywhere is pretty exciting to me now ~ even the supermarket or the local library!

Baking

As long as it's no-bake, I'll make it.  Our family tradition involves making this flag cake from angel food cake, Cool Whip, strawberries and blueberries:

Wearing

Every morning I wake up and put on my boot ~ for which I am very thankful as it allows me to be mobile.  It's slow going but going nonetheless!~

If you're in the market for some whimsical t-shirts, head over to J. Crew Factory ~ they have a great collection of themed t-shirts for men, women and children!  These shirts make great gifts, too!

Loving

I LOVE my new bathing suit separates that I just bought from Bealls.

bathing suit top;   boy short bottoms

This month I'm most thankful to whoever invented these orthopedic boots!  What an amazing invention, and the boot is so much better than a cast!

Happy 4th of July, and thank you so much for checking in today!

    1. Thank you, Bri! I do love the flag cake, and luckily, I've delegated the construction of it to my children! Every day I do get better at walking with the boot!

  3. Visiting from the link up. I hope you were able to enjoy the celebrations for the 4th! They were rained out at our house - first time I remember that happening!

  4. Oh no, hope you heal up soon! A library trip is always exciting around here in the summer too though - the air conditioning is always so much nicer than at our own house :)

    1. A/C is a must these days! I always love going to the library ~ just to browse the new books! I read your bio and saw that your husband is doing his residency! Wow! I hope he's done soon - that's a real cause for celebration!

    1. Not being able to drive is tough ~ especially in the summer! I've been lucky to far because my friends have been taking me out for lunch!

  6. I'm so glad you have your boot, but I'm so sorry that you have to be stuck at home during your summer vacation! The library and the beach are our favorite summertime locations. Feel better!
