Better Late Than Never ~ Five For Friday ~ Finally!

I'm finally linking up with Doodle Bugs for Five For Friday!

Morning Messages

Last week we had a snow day due to a nor'easter.  In addition, we wrapped up our chapter on landforms and focused on suffixes in spelling:

How to Brush Your Teeth

Last week the kids started to share their "how to" paragraphs:

We recently wrapped up our "Expert Book" unit so the kids are choosing to continue with writing chapter books that include a cover and an about the author page!

Front Row

In Computer Lab, the kids have been enjoying Front Row:

Front Row   is free and includes a huge variety of ELA and Math activities.  Even better, the kids LOVE doing this!  If you've never heard of it, check it out here.

Here's a close-up of a measurement question:

Lost Tooth Traditions and Stories

Last week the kids began writing about a time they lost a tooth.  The stories are quite extraordinary, too!

First, we read this great book:

Click on the cover for more details on Amazon.

We love learning what other kids do when they lose a tooth.  Let's just say that several countries have tooth "rats!"

#LOTSOFSOCKS Reminder

March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day (click here to read the original post).  The best part = wearing unmatched, colorful socks!  How fun!

Make sure to use the hashtag #LOTSOFSOCKS!

Also, make sure to visit Doodle Bugs for more:
