I'm always looking for new picture books to read to my students, and this list is chock-full of new titles.  Click here to check it out!

One book I'm particularly intrigued by is Fry Bread.  This is the story of a Native American family and bonding over food.



One Sunday morning I was listening to the radio and an interview with author Sarah Ban Breathnach
who wrote Simple Abundance ~ a book of evocative essays - one for every day of the year - for women who wish to live by their own lights. 


I went to the library and have been reading this delightful and reassuring book.  It's definitely a mindset I'd love to embrace!  There's also a newer version that has been updated.


I just love Trader Joe's and their frozen foods.  They're easy to make and delicious.  This is a new one I've tried out and would recommend:

Next week is the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day!  Best of all, February vacation starts on Friday.  We'll all need a vacation after this exciting and busy week!
