Incorporating Math Into Morning Meeting

I do love checking out Checkiday every morning upon arrival at school to see what's on the calendar for obscure days.  Last week this holiday was on their web site so I used it to compose that day's Morning Message:

Introducing Story Elements

In Reading, we started learning about story elements, and of course, I reinforced the concept in our Morning Message:

Next week we'll continue on with problem, solution and main events.

  1. I know I sound like a broken record, but your morning messages are the BEST. I've been working on character traits, motivations, and character change with my class. My anchor charts seem to be multiplying in the night when I go home. I need to figure that out! Your creativity inspires me! Have a good week.
