First Day of Summer Vacation & Professional Learning Goals

My last day of school was yesterday (June 19th).  Today is a rainy day so I have been tackling my disaster-area closet.  Just like in the Marie Kondo show, I emptied the closed; I cleaned it; I got overwhelmed...Needless to say, I will be finishing the job tomorrow ~ hopefully ~ or sooner rather than later....

I'm excited to link up to share some of my plans for this summer!  This post is week 1 of 8 in the 8 Weeks of Summer Blog Challenge for educators.

Next week I'm hoping to take away from new ways to improve my teaching with this training:

Engineering at Tufts!

I scoured the internet looking for an affordable and interesting class and came upon this:

Supporting Elementary School Students to Engineer
Date: July 23–26, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Where: CEEO, Tufts, 200 Boston Avenue, Medford MA
Cost: $200
**This is a pilot program funded by a grant so we are able to offer it at a discounted rate with scholarships for local teachers.

Click here or on the course title to check out this opportunity!

This weekend my husband and I are visiting our daughter in New York City.  We're taking the Acela Express.  I do LOVE taking the train!

Thank you for visiting today!  If you live in the Boston area, check out the above class!

  1. Hi Susan,
So glad you were able to join the #8WeeksofSummer blog challenge!
Your class selection appeals to me as well. I hope you write a follow-up post on each of these experiences and what you took away from them.
