Final Five For Summer Vacation Friday!

Hello!  Most schools are back in session while teachers in my district start next Tuesday, and our students start next Wednesday.  Now that it's my final Friday of summer vacation, I'm linking up with
Doodle Bugs for:

I've been wanting to update/change my blog so I've been doing A LOT of research as well as reading A LOT of blogs.  I decided to check out Pinterest and read an article about  Canva.  On this site you can make banners, designs, templates,...  Check out my first creation:

Pretty cool!  I will definitely be exploring this site more!

Last week I gave blood at the Children's Hospital bloodmobile:

I also got another baseball cap which I am wearing in the picture!

Over the weekend, my husband and I went on a sunset cruise in Boston Harbor:

These cruises are very informative.  Our first stop was the USS Constitution where they let off cannons twice a day - once at sunrise and the other at sunset.  Then we cruised through the harbor and saw this huge freight ship (lower left corner).  It was a beautiful night to be out on the harbor.  If you want to learn more, click here to learn more.  It's fun to be a tourist in your own city.

I've been working nonstop in my classroom this week.  It's looking great, but I still have more to do.  My former colleague, Ms. Torrice, helped me the last two days, and we worked hard, especially cleaning out the closet and cabinets.  You know you have a true friend when they help do chores like that!

By the way, that's another creation from Canva!

Lastly, I posted my first "pay-for" product to Teachers Pay Teachers.  It's a unit that goes along with our Social Studies textbook, Massachusetts, Our Home.  Click here to check it out!

I even got an email from TPT about my first and only sale:

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

  1. Congratulations on your first sale! That's so exciting! Your sunset cruise sounds amazing. I once went on a whale-watching cruise out of Gloucester. That was really neat. Enjoy the last two days of your vacation, and have a wonderful first week back! I just finished my first week!
