About Me!

My name is Susan Krevat, and I am newly retired.  Before that, I was a third grade teacher in Woburn, Massachusetts.  I taught third grade for 22 years, and before that, I taught elementary French and Spanish for 4 years in Woburn.  In addition, I have a wonderful and loving family which includes my husband, Matthew; three children - Bethany, 36, Derek, 34, and Andrew, 32.  Best of all, I have a new granddaughter, Cecilia, who was born in July 2024.  We also have a rescue dog, Truffles ~ a former Texas street dog!

In my free time, I love riding my Peloton, reading, doing the NYT daily games.  I love historical fiction books like The Red Tent by Anita Diamant and Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.  In addition, I love history, especially learning about the history of my state, Massachusetts, where I've lived my whole life.  Of course, I learned many more details when I started teaching third grade because that's all we study all year - Massachusetts!

In addition, I consider myself a lifelong learner who always wants to do a little better every day.  However, I like to keep things simplified because I want more time to do what I love.  Like Aristotle said, "Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence."

I hope you'll get some ideas to make your life easier in my blog.  Please let me know ~ I love to get comments!
