Fabulous Five For Friday!

Good morning!  This has been a week full of exciting news!  I'm excited to link up with Doodle Bugs for:

My older son, Derek, and his beautiful girlfriend, Kaylee, got engaged in Paris!

What a happy couple!

My laptop is back!  It's amazing that documents and clipart from as far back as  2008 are in my computer, but anything from this year or a few years back, is totally gone.  I'm replenishing my clipart, but I'm organizing it in folders which will make it easier to find what I'm looking for.  I just found these colorful and striped numbers here for free!

We had an assembly about birds by Windows on Wildlife:

The presenter above rescues disabled birds who cannot live in the wild due to injury.  She brings them to schools to the delight of students and teachers.  I LOVE owls!

We finished our Math PARCC testing.  Last week we completed four 60-minute sessions.  The kids worked so hard!  After testing, I pulled out the geoboards, and they enjoyed them tremendously.  During a Morning Meeting, the question was "What was your favorite part of third grade?"  Several said the geoboards!

Of course, the colorful elastics are long gone.  Thanks to Daniel's grandmother we have a new supply of elastics!

My colleague, Ms. Aufiero, bought me a new lanyard from Vineyard Vines:

The best news is that this lanyard is only $5.50 (which is probably the least expensive item you can buy there!  If you want to check out this adorable lanyard, click here.

 BONUS!

My younger son, Andrew, brought this creation home last week:

What is it?  It is a street hockey trophy with a buffalo on top!  Just what I needed!  Luckily, it's now in the garage!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Congrats to your son, and you, as you'll now be a mother-in-law. My kiddos love the owls, too. And I've never used elastics with geo boards, only colored rubberbands. The rubberbands are cheaper, but the elastics probably last longer. Stop by and enter to win a HUE Animation Studio. I bet you'd put it to good use with your kiddos. See you next time. 3. I never knew that you put a rainbow boat on a geo board on your blog. Mrs. Krevat, that's cool!
