Five For Friday - Dr. Seuss Week!

Happy Sunday!  It's time to link up with Doodle Bugs for:

We hit the road running on Monday with a wonderful and special guest reader, Ms. Torrice:

The kids are wearing their red and white striped hats just like the Cat in the Hat!

This week we also started learning about landforms:

We also incorporated landforms and Dr. Seuss in our Morning Message:

Dr. Seuss has the BEST quotes!

We made beautiful hot air balloons for our classroom door decorating contest.

In addition, we drew our own Cats in the Hat and wrote "Dr. Seuss" acrostic poems to accompany them:

Mrs. Brown also made Green Egg and Ham style snacks for us!

We started a new round of centers.  Ruby the Copycat by Peggy Rathmann is in our listening center while some of her other books - Officer Buckle and Gloria and Goodnight Gorilla - are in the Read with a Friend center.

One of my students - Danielle - decided to make a Powerpoint about me in Computer Lab:

By the way, we're also learning about adjectives!  This is an example of why teaching is such a great job!

What a fun week we had!  I'm hoping for another fun-filled educational week next week as well!

Thanks for checking in today!
