Peek at the Last Full Week of School & Dear Me Letter = Two Link-Ups!

It's Monday which means that it is time to link up for:

Field Day

This Thursday is Field Day which is an all-day activity.  The weather looks good so that's a huge help since it would be too late to reschedule.

Math Interactive Notebooks

We will be continuing to add to our Measurement Notebooks.  Today we worked on perimeter, polygons and area.

Writing

Tomorrow we will be writing letters for the "new" third graders to read in September.  On Wednesday, we will write thank you notes to the Mayor and the Woburn Public Library.

Style Me Pretty Summer Challenge

After I thoroughly cleaned my closet during April vacation, I realized that I needed a change.  I was bored with my usual clothes. I tried Stitch Fix with little success.  Then I saw this Style Me Pretty Challenge in another blog. In this challenge, you buy 10 pieces of clothing; some of which you might already have.  Then Alison tells you how to combine the different pieces to make a variety of outfits.  You can read about it here:  Style Me Challenge.

Here's my first attempt at trying out a new outfit using some of the new clothes:

I would never have bought white pants, a dungaree vest or metallic sandals, but I am definitely up for trying something new.

Now it's on to a new link-up for me with The Teaching Tribune for:

Here's a letter I wrote to myself about teaching a blogging class.  I'm on the fence - even though I offered to do this, I'm not sure how to start.  Any ideas?

Have a wonderful week!

  1. Really nice to meet you via the comment you left on the linky page at The Teaching Tribune. I too have found the blog community very supportive and I love the idea that you are going to help others now you have found your feet. Well done! I think your outfit looks really summery too :)

  2. I like the outfit! I think it's fun to make new combinations with clothes. Some of my attempts definitely look better than others, but it's definitely fun to try. I have had mixed luck with Stitch Fix. I'm not sure how long I will keep it. Have fun on Field Day!
