Five For Friday - Learning About Native Americans!

It's Sunday evening which is now my time to link up with Doodle Bugs for:

Change Is Simple came to visit last week.  They did a super fun lesson on endangered animals:

Change Is Simple is a great group of environmentalists who come to our school several times a year to teach the kids about different topics.  You can read more about them here.

We learned A LOT about the Wampanoag Native Americans:

We followed up our learning with making our own mishoons out of paper:

You can check out this product on Teachers Pay Teachers here.

We started sharing our Powerpoint presentations about the four types of sentences.  Here's a pages from Joseph's presentation:

Joseph did an outstanding job with his animations and transitions!

Last, but not least, I planned my father's 83rd birthday party which was on Saturday.  We had a family lunch at a restaurant near where he lives.

I got this really cool checkerboard cake at a local bakery.  I called it the "Rolls Royce" of cakes because it was so expensive.

Happy Thanksgiving!
