At the end of school, I received a Barnes and Noble gift card.  I chose these two items:

and

My students love these books by Dan Gutman so I'm happy to have more in my classroom library.

In my house, I have 2 shelves that hold teaching materials.  During the school year, I try to keep my papers and books organized, but....This week I spent many days getting all my "stuff" back in order:

Now I just have to try to keep these shelves neat and organized during the school year.

Since the weather was so beautiful (except for Weds. when it rained all day), I got to go in my pool and do my water aerobics.

I love looking at that tall tree in the background when I'm doing my warm up exercises.

I finished reading this book:

I actually had bought The Book Whisperer years ago, and I wasn't too crazy about it.  I got this book through the inter-library loan system.  I liked this book better because it had some interesting ideas like having a grafitti wall where students write their favorite quotes from books they have read, but I just didn't feel enthusiastic about this book.  Some times you just have a connection with a book, and some times the book isn't a match.

To wrap things up, I have had a productive week going to the gym, washing windows, doing laundry....The week flew by so I feel fortunate to find time to go in my pool and read; that's what make the summer so amazing and fun!

Have a wonderful weekend!
